Case rates: The current weekly case rate in Wales is down to 75 cases per 100,000 people, and test positivity stands at 6.8%.

Vaccinations: As of today, 902,334 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and 80,062 people are now fully vaccinated with a second dose. More than 1/3 Welsh adults have now received a vaccine – and this weekend we are approaching a total of 1 million doses being given out in Wales.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation has issued updated advice on prioritising the coronavirus vaccine for those with learning disabilities and have recommended that Phase 2 of the vaccine rollout continues with age – with groups aged 40-49, 30-39 and 18-29.

This week, pupils aged 3-7 years old returned to school, and from Monday we will see licenced wedding venues beginning to re-open, and the Welsh Government will be reviewing its policy on care home visits.

Thank you everyone for your hard work in following these tough restrictions over the last few months. As cases continue to fall, and the vaccine rollout continues at pace, we can begin to look forward to brighter times ahead.
