Thanks to the efforts of us all, and the success of our record-breaking vaccination rollout to #KeepWalesSafe, from 28 March Wales will be in a position to remove all legal COVID-19 measures in place for the past 2 years.
For now, please continue to wear a mask in shops, on public transport and in health and care settings, and isolate if you have symptoms or a positive test.

Today, Welsh Labour Leader and First Minister, Mark Drakeford has published Wales’ longer-term plan to live safely with coronavirus.

Together for a Safer Future will mark the start of Wales’ transition beyond the emergency response to the pandemic – emergency measures have been in place for two years.

It sets out how Wales can live safely with coronavirus – just as we live with many other infectious diseases – and what that will mean for public health services and protections put in place to respond to the pandemic, including testing services.

Wales will remain at alert level zero for the next three weeks with the current level of protections in place. But all legal measures could be removed from 28 March if the public health situation remains stable.
