Halifax Bank is closing it’s Albany Road branch, effective from 11 June this year. This is bad news for residents and businesses that rely on the services this branch offers.
However, after contacting Lloyds Banking Group, I’ve been assured that existing Halifax customers will continue to be able to access Halifax banking services via the Lloyds branch on Wellfield Road.
I’ve also written to the Halifax requesting a meeting to discuss their proposals and to get assurances about how their customers will be supported. If you bank at the Halifax and have any particular concerns
