Residents across Cardiff East regularly raise concerns about potholes with me. Thanks to the reports you have made, along with those I have submitted on your behalf, 3,863 were fixed in Cardiff East in 2025.
The prolonged wet weather is problematic for our roads, causing more potholes. Cardiff Council teams are out everyday resurfacing, patching and making safe with temporary repairs while long term fixes are scheduled. Because of the record settlement by the UK Labour Government for the Welsh Labour Government, it has been able to commit an extra £10m for resurfacing over the next two years, so even
more improvements are on the way.
Please keep reporting any problems through the Cardiff Council website or the app. You can also contact my office directly if you would like me to raise an issue with a specific road on your behalf.
