Tomorrow, Thursday 9th October, Roath Park will host a special Ribbon Display in front of the lighthouse to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week.
This week is a time to break the silence around baby loss, stand with bereaved families, and remember the little lives taken too soon. It’s also a moment to look forward with hope — raising awareness to help save babies’ lives in the future.
Everyone is welcome to take part by creating a ribbon to add to the display. You can choose from:
- A blue ribbon
- A pink ribbon
- A blue & pink ribbon
For those who enjoy crafting, there’s even a knitting template so you can make a ribbon in your own style. Together, these ribbons will form a meaningful tribute of love, remembrance, and solidarity.
You can also support the cause by donating to Sands, the charity that provides vital support to anyone affected by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby. Donations can be made here.
A huge thank you to Kira Smith for organising this event. Her dedication and compassion will bring our community together to show that no family walks this path alone.
