Professor Mackenzie was a trailblazer in Welsh politics, founding the Cardiff branch of the Suffragettes and was the first woman to stand as a Parliamentary candidate in Wales.

I’m so pleased that Cardiff Council decided to celebrate this incredible woman in Welsh history, with a new park at the heart of our city centre.
