On 22nd June 1948, Passengers of HMT Empire Windrush disembarked at Tilbury Docks to start a new life in the UK.

Seventy five years on, on Windrush Day, we celebrated the incredible contributions of all those on board who helped to shape the modern Britain we recognise today.

We owe them a huge debt of gratitude. The UK Conservative Government has badly let them down.

Labour will fix the Windrush compensation scheme to ensure those affected by the Home Office injustices receive the compensation they are owed.
