It was an honour to deliver my speech at Labour Party Conference as Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport on Sunday. I’ve been to more than 25 annual conferences but this was my first ever speech from the stage.

My overarching message was that the Tories don’t care about digital, culture, media and sport, but Labour does. Our creative sectors were amongst the fastest growing sectors of our economy before the pandemic, and under Labour, they will be once again.
