It is six months since the election in May when I became your Member of Parliament. In the last half year I have met with hundreds of constituents at my surgeries, had correspondence from many more and been to visit or meet with a huge range of local organisations to find out about their work in Cardiff Central.
In my first six months as your MP, my team and I have helped over 1500 constituents with a huge range of issues. The most frequent casework issues my team and I have dealt with are immigration and asylum issues, and some of the most common policy enquiries I have had are about the environment. My biggest post bag was on the difficult issue of Assisted Dying, but I have also had a large amount of correspondence about the cuts to Tax Credits, the repeal of the Fox Hunting ban and the ongoing debate about possible air strikes in Syria.
